What is required of us?

"He has shown all you people what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." -Micah 6:8

Sometimes I feel that I complicate the issue. Seriously do you complicate things. Overthink things? Analyze them too much to the point of complete and utter frustration?

I'm sure that many of you are thinking to yourself of these moments, and when I read this verse from Micah I have to chuckle just a little and realize that its so simple. I love how simplistic and logical this verse is. It's straight and to the point. Micah doesn't beat around the bush. He puts it in a simple statement of what life with God is.

To act justly

To love mercy

To walk humbly

A fulfilled life in three statements. I'm reminded of a quote from Velvet Elvis.

"I think the way of Jesus is best possible way to live."

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self‑seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth."

I love 1 Corinthians 13 because there is no words that need to be said to love. It's all action.

Life is not an easy, it comes with hard choices, very hard at times and not so hard at others. The bible is clear numerous times that a life that is best lived is a life that is lived with love.

"He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

Realistically. I think the industry has about two to three years to adapt or face its iTunes moment. And it will take at least that long for media brands to build credible, truly digital brands, Ashley Highfield, managing director of consumer and online at Microsoft UK, told the Guardian.

Listening

"Most people listen at a 25% efficiency rate, remember only about half of what's said during a 10 minute conversation, and forget half of that within 48 hours. Furthermore, when questioned about material we've just heard, we are likely to get the facts mixed up." – Excellence in Business Communication

Very interesting. I always thought I was a decent listener, apparently not.
